To take payments with a form, add a Payment block and connect your own Stripe account. The money goes through Stripe to you. Qwenvo charges a 0% platform fee, so the only fee is Stripe's own, and many currencies are supported. Stripe is the only payment provider.
What you need first
- A free Qwenvo account and a form to hold the payment.
- A Stripe account in your own name. Stripe handles identity checks, payouts and card processing, and its fees apply to each payment. Check Stripe's own pricing page for the rates in your country.
- A clear idea of what people are paying for: a fixed fee, a choice of items, or a deposit.
Add a payment to your form
- Open a form, or start from the order form template or the digital product preorder.
- Type the questions that go with the payment first: name, email, and what is being bought. Use Multiple choice or Dropdown so the options are explicit.
- Type
/and choose Payment. Set up the amount and currency, and connect your Stripe account when asked. - Put the Payment block near the end, after the details, so people have invested before they reach the card step.
- In Settings, turn on a confirmation email for the respondent so they have a record. Add a Thank-you page that says what happens next.
- Preview the form, then do one real small test payment before you share the link.
What the fee actually is
Qwenvo takes nothing from your payments. Stripe's own processing fee applies, the same fee you would pay using Stripe directly. Tally's free plan also supports payments with no fee on top of Stripe; the difference is what surrounds them. On Qwenvo, branding removal, custom domains and teammates are free too, where Tally puts them on Pro. See Qwenvo vs Tally for the full comparison.
Make payment forms convert
- Say the price before the card. Put the total in the form text or in the question labels.
- Keep the form short. Name, email and the order are usually enough.
- Use your own domain and no branding. A form on
pay.yourbusiness.comlooks more trustworthy than a third-party address. See free custom domain forms. - Use the thank-you page. Confirm the order, the next step and how to reach you.
- Turn on partial submissions to see who got as far as the payment step and left.
Add up a total with a calculation
For forms where the price depends on choices, calculated fields can add up prices, such as quantity times price. Show the result to the respondent in the text with @. Always check totals on your side before you fulfil: values in a form are not a secure source of truth. The quote calculator guide shows how rules work.
Mistakes to avoid
- Skipping the test payment. Run one yourself and confirm the money and the submission both show up.
- Asking for too much. Every extra field before payment costs you buyers.
- No receipt. Switch on the confirmation email.
- Promising a provider you do not have. Qwenvo uses Stripe only; do not advertise other methods on the form.
The honest limit: Stripe is the only provider. If your buyers need PayPal or a local method, a builder with more processors is a better fit. Jotform, for example, lists Stripe, PayPal and many other processors on its own pricing page.
After the payment
The money moves through your Stripe account, so payouts and refunds are handled in Stripe's dashboard, under Stripe's own rules. The answers themselves land in Qwenvo: open Submissions to see who ordered what, export to CSV, JSON or XLSX, or send each order to Google Sheets, Slack or a webhook. Keep your order details and your Stripe records side by side when you reconcile at the end of the month.
Questions people ask
Does Qwenvo take a fee on payments?
No platform fee. You pay Stripe's own fee, and nothing else to Qwenvo.
Can I accept payments in my currency?
Many currencies are supported. Which ones you can use also depends on your Stripe account, so check there.
Do I need a business to use this?
That depends on Stripe's own requirements for your country, not on Qwenvo. Check Stripe's documentation.
Where do I find the payments?
In your Stripe dashboard, and each submission with its answers appears in the Submissions table. See form settings for confirmation emails.
