A calculator form uses calculated fields to turn answers into a number, such as a quote, an estimate or a score. In Qwenvo you add a conditional logic block, choose Calculate, and set the formula. Show the result on the thank-you page with @.
What a calculator form can do
- Add up the price of selected options for a quote or estimate.
- Multiply quantity by a unit price.
- Apply a rule, such as a discount when a condition is true.
- Combine pieces of text with concat.
- Score answers, as in a quiz. See quiz maker with scoring.
Build a simple price estimator
- Create the questions that drive the price: a Multiple choice for the service level, a Number for the quantity, a Checkboxes for extras.
- Add a conditional logic block below them. Set When to the first option, such as service level is 'Standard'.
- In Then, choose Calculate and assign a value to a variable you name, for example
total. Then add further rules that add each extra tototalwhen its option is chosen. - Use multiply for quantity, so the line is quantity times the unit price from the chosen option.
- Put the Calculated fields above the rules that change them. Rules replay from top to bottom and later rules win, so order matters.
- Add a Thank-you page and mention the variable with
@, for example a line that says the estimated total is@total. - Preview and test several combinations against your own spreadsheet.
Keep your prices in one place that you control. Do not guess: compare the form's result against a hand calculation for at least a few combinations before you share the link.
Use it as a quote request form
A quote request form can show an estimate and still collect the contact details you need to follow up. Start from the quote request form template, or the order form if people will pay straight away. Ask for contact details, a short description of the job and any files, then show the estimate on the thank-you page and tell people you will confirm the final price.
What to do with the submissions
- Turn on notifications to yourself so every request reaches you.
- Use AI triage to categorise and prioritise requests, and route urgent ones to email or Slack. See AI form triage.
- Send submissions to a Google Sheet or Notion for follow-up.
Mistakes to avoid
- Trusting the browser for money. A person can edit a link or a hidden value. For a binding price, recalculate on your side, for example through a webhook, before you charge or fulfil.
- Presenting an estimate as a final price. Say it is an estimate.
- Hiding the assumptions. List what is and is not included.
- Forgetting rounding and currency. Check how totals look with decimals.
- Changing a price without updating the formula. Put a reminder in your own notes.
Honest limit: the calculator is built from rules, not a visual pricing tool, so very complex price tables take patience to set up. For scheduling a call after the quote, there is no built-in scheduler; embed Calendly with the Embed anything block.
Example: a cleaning quote
Here is the idea in plain words, with no real prices. This is an example of the structure only:
// Example structure only rooms = Number question service = Multiple choice (standard / deep clean) extras = Checkboxes (windows, oven) Rule 1: Calculate total = 0 Rule 2: When service is 'standard' -> Calculate total = rooms * STANDARD_PRICE Rule 3: When service is 'deep clean' -> Calculate total = rooms * DEEP_PRICE Rule 4: When extras contains 'windows' -> Calculate total + WINDOWS_PRICE
Replace the capitalised names with your own numbers. The thank-you page then reads: 'Your estimate is @total. We will confirm by email.'
Questions people ask
Can a form calculate a total?
Yes. Calculated fields can add, subtract, multiply, divide, assign, concat or use a formula. The details are in the conditional logic help.
How do I show the result?
Mention the calculated variable with @ on the thank-you page or in any text block.
Can I charge the calculated amount?
Payments run through the Payment block and your own Stripe account. Check the setup in the Stripe payment form guide and test it before launch.
Is the calculator free?
Yes, calculations are included for every account.
Every feature, $0, no card.
