Tally Free covers building, logic, payments and unlimited submissions. Tally Pro ($29 a month, $290 a year) adds the things that make a form look and behave like your own: no badge, custom domain, teammates, partial submissions, custom CSS and analytics. If you need none of those, stay free. If you need one, Tally charges for all.
Tally Free vs Pro, feature by feature
Each line shows what Tally's pricing page puts on the free plan or behind Pro, and what the same thing costs on Qwenvo.

Tally's Business plan ($89 a month, $890 a year) adds data retention, respondent email verification and 90-day version history. Qwenvo includes those too.
When Tally Pro is worth it
Pro makes sense in a few specific cases:
- You run client work in Tally already and the clients expect forms on their own domain.
- A whole team lives in your Tally workspace and moving it costs more than the subscription.
- You specifically want a tool that is built and hosted in Europe, with a GDPR focus.
On yearly billing the price is $290, which Tally shows as $24 a month. For a single freelancer with one client form, that is a lot to pay for one setting. For an agency billing clients, it may be a rounding error.
When you should skip Pro
- You only need the badge off. Switch builder instead of paying for the bundle.
- You need partial submissions to learn where people quit. On Qwenvo they appear as incomplete rows in the Submissions table.
- You want charts of visits and drop-off without paying for a plan.
Switching is less work than it sounds, because the editor is the same idea: a page where you type / to add a block. There is no Tally importer, but you can paste your questions as plain text or Markdown into the importer, or describe the form to Create with AI. The walkthrough is in how to switch from Tally.
Where Tally is the better pick
Tally has been around since 2021 and has a large community, so you will find more answers, examples and videos for it. Qwenvo launched in October 2026 and has few reviews so far. It is also hosted in the United States, where Tally is hosted in Europe.
A worked example
Picture a community group that runs event sign-ups. It wants the badge off, the form on its own domain, three volunteers editing, and a way to see people who started the form but did not finish.
- On Tally: every one of those four needs Pro. The group pays $290 a year, or $29 a month.
- On Qwenvo: all four are settings. Branding is a toggle, the domain is a CNAME, volunteers join from the Members page, and partial submissions are a switch in Settings.
Nothing in that example is unusual. It is the typical path from "a simple free form" to "a form that looks like ours", and it is why Pro is the plan most free users eventually meet.
How to check before you pay
- List the features you need in plain words.
- Tick each against Tally's pricing page and see which plan it sits on.
- If two or more are Pro, compare the yearly price with a builder where they are included.
