Tally charges for partial submissions. Here they're free and unlimited

By the Qwenvo team · · 2 min read

Most people who start your form never finish it. Without partial submissions, everything they typed is gone, and you never learn which question lost them.

On Tally, partial submissions are a Pro feature: $29 a month. On Qwenvo they are free and unlimited for every account.

What a partial submission is

When someone answers a few questions and then closes the tab, Qwenvo keeps what they entered and shows it as an incomplete row in Submissions. You see how far they got and what they said before leaving.

What to do with them

  • Find the question that kills completion. If half the partials stop at the same question, that question is the problem. Drop-off analytics (also free here, Pro on Tally) shows the same thing as a chart.
  • Follow up with warm leads. Someone who gave an email and then left is still a lead.
  • Shorten the form. Partials tell you which questions people are not willing to answer.

Turn it on

  1. Open your form and click Settings.
  2. Switch on Partial submissions.
  3. Publish. Incomplete responses appear in Submissions, marked as partial, and you can include them in exports.

Tell respondents in your privacy notice that answers are saved as they type; it is the honest thing to do, and in some places it is the law.
