To send a form to Google Sheets, open the form's Integrations tab, choose Google Sheets, connect your Google account, pick a spreadsheet, and publish. New submissions are sent to the sheet. For older responses, export a CSV or XLSX and import it.
Set up the connection
- Create a new Google Sheet, or choose an existing one. Name the tab clearly, such as 'Registrations'.
- In Qwenvo, open the form and go to the Integrations tab.
- Choose Google Sheets and sign in with the Google account that owns the sheet.
- Follow the prompts to choose the spreadsheet and the tab to write to.
- Submit a test response from the live form and check that it appears in the sheet.
- Delete the test row if you do not want it in your records.
Decide what goes into the sheet
- Answers. One column per question is the usual shape.
- Hidden fields. UTM tags, customer ids and other values from the link, as described in hidden fields and UTM tracking.
- Partial submissions. Abandoned forms show as incomplete rows in the Submissions table, so decide whether you also want them in your reporting.
- Contact details. Keep email and phone as their own questions so each lands in its own column.
Ways to use the sheet
- A shared inbox. Add columns for owner, status and follow-up date next to the incoming answers.
- A dashboard. Use pivot tables and charts on top of the answer columns.
- A mail merge source. Use the email column for a follow-up campaign, if the respondent agreed to it.
- A feed for other tools. Many tools read from a sheet.
Good forms to try: the event RSVP, the volunteer signup and the team lunch order, all of which are easier to read as a table.
No integration? Use an export
Open Submissions and export as CSV or XLSX, then import the file into Google Sheets with File, Import. This works for one-off reports and for old responses. For other automations, Zapier, Make and webhooks can write to a sheet.
Keep the sheet healthy
- Don't rename or reorder the header row after connecting, unless you reconnect and test.
- Add your own columns to the right of the incoming data, not between them.
- Treat the sheet as a copy. Qwenvo's Submissions table remains your main record, with its exports, version history and audit log.
- Limit who can edit. Anyone with edit access can change or delete answers.
- Think about privacy. If answers include personal data, share the sheet only with people who need it.
Mistakes to avoid
- Connecting the wrong tab. Check the name of the tab you picked.
- Skipping the test. Submit one response before you share the form.
- Pasting formulas into incoming columns. They can be overwritten.
- Forgetting to re-test after edits. If you add or remove a question, check the sheet again.
An honest note: a spreadsheet is a convenient view, not a database or an audit trail. Edits you make in the sheet do not change the form's records. If you need to track who changed what, rely on Qwenvo's audit log, and use the sheet for analysis.
Share the results without sharing the sheet
Many teams share a sheet link when they only need to share answers. Consider the alternative: invite colleagues to your Qwenvo workspace. Teammates, workspaces and folders are unlimited and free, and everyone sees the Submissions table, Insights and exports. Keep the sheet for the people who build reports or run mail merges, and keep access to it narrow. That way personal data lives in fewer places and the audit log can show who exported what.
Use the sheet to follow up
A sheet works well as a simple to-do list. Add a column for who owns each row, a column for the date you replied, and a column for the outcome. Freeze the header row, filter by owner, and colour rows when they are done. This is the same job a small CRM does, and for a team of a few people it is often enough. If it grows beyond that, send the same submissions on to a proper CRM with a webhook.
