Free AI survey analysis: what you get and how to run it

By the Qwenvo team · · 4 min read

You can analyze survey responses with AI for $0 on Qwenvo. Turn on AI triage and every response gets a category, a sentiment, a priority and a one-to-two-sentence summary, on up to 10,000 submissions a month. Charts, averages and NPS sit next to it in Insights. There is no card and no paid plan.

Two kinds of analysis, two tools

Survey results are two different jobs, and mixing them up is why many people feel their analysis is thin.

  • Closed questions (rating, linear scale, multiple choice, NPS) need counting. That is Insights: charts, averages and NPS, no AI needed.
  • Open answers (long answer boxes) need reading. That is where AI helps: it reads each one and tells you what it is about and how the person feels.

What AI triage adds to each response

  • Category, such as feedback, bug report, support or sales lead.
  • Sentiment: positive, neutral or negative.
  • Priority: low, normal, high or urgent.
  • Summary: one or two sentences, so you can scan fifty responses in the time it takes to read five.
  • Suggested reply, if you want to answer the person.

The full feature is explained in AI that reads every submission. This post is about using it on a survey.

Run it on a survey in five steps

  1. Start from a template such as product feedback survey or NPS survey, or describe the survey to Create with AI.
  2. Include at least one Long answer question. Something like "What is the one thing we should change?" gives the AI real text to read.
  3. Open the form's Settings, find AI triage and switch on Triage submissions with AI.
  4. Publish and share the link.
  5. Open Submissions to read the summaries and sentiment, then Insights for the charts, averages and NPS.

Ask better open questions

AI cannot rescue a vague question. A few wordings that produce answers worth summarizing:

  • "What almost stopped you from signing up?"
  • "What were you trying to do when you gave that score?"
  • "If this product disappeared tomorrow, what would you use instead?"

Pair each open question with a rating just before it. The score tells you how they feel; the summary tells you why.

Get the data out for deeper work

If you want a full report across all responses, export from Submissions as CSV, JSON or XLSX and bring the data to your own tools. Qwenvo also has an MCP server (see developers) so an AI assistant can list your forms and read their submissions. That route is yours to set up, and the analysis is the assistant's, not something Qwenvo does for you.

A limit worth knowing

Triage works one response at a time. It will not write you a themed report across 2,000 responses by itself. Treat the summaries as a fast way to skim and sort, and read the originals before you quote anyone or change a product decision. AI can misread sarcasm and context.

A worked example

Say you run a customer pulse survey with three questions: a 1 to 5 rating of the product, a multiple choice on which feature people use most, and one Long answer asking what they would change. Insights gives you the average rating and the split by feature straight away. That part needs no AI.

Then open Submissions and sort by sentiment. Read the negative ones first, in full. If several summaries mention the same thing, such as a slow export, open those originals and confirm the pattern is real. Now you have a theme, the exact words people used, and a suggested reply for each person. You read the handful that matter instead of every response.

Share the findings without overclaiming

  • Report counts from Insights, not from memory or from a summary.
  • Quote the original text when you quote a customer, never the AI summary.
  • Say how many responses you read in full. It tells your audience how much weight to give the finding.
  • Keep a short note of what you changed because of the survey, so the next round can show whether it worked.

Questions people ask

Is AI survey analysis really free here?

Yes. Triage is included for every account up to 10,000 submissions a month. We measured the model cost at about $0.22 per 1,000 submissions. Will this stay free? If paid plans are ever introduced, everything you already use stays available and you will be told well in advance. Today there is no plan to pick and no card on file.

Does it work on any language?

Forms can be shown in 45+ languages, including right-to-left ones. We have not published accuracy figures for triage by language, so spot-check your own results.

Can I analyze a survey I ran somewhere else?

Not directly. Triage runs on submissions that arrive through a Qwenvo form. You can import questions from CSV, a Typeform export and other formats, but not past answers from another tool.

Next step: build the survey, and compare with Qwenvo vs Tally if you are coming from there.
