Free AI form builder: describe it, get the form, edit it

By the Qwenvo team · · 4 min read

To build a form with AI for free on Qwenvo, open a new empty form, describe what you need in a sentence or two, and the questions appear in the editor. Everything stays editable. There are no paid plans, no card and no AI credits to buy.

Three ways to start with AI

  1. Describe it. On the empty-form screen, type what you want: "Event registration with name, email, ticket type, dietary needs and a payment step."
  2. Ask Qwenvo inside a form. Press Ctrl J while editing to open Ask Qwenvo and describe the change you want, such as adding a rating question after page two.
  3. Import what you already have. Bring in a Word (.docx) file, a PDF, a CSV (question, type, options), Markdown, plain text, a Typeform JSON export or even a screenshot of a form. See import forms.

Write a prompt that gets a usable form

The AI builds what you describe, so be specific about four things:

  • Who fills it in (customers, applicants, parents).
  • What you need to learn, in order.
  • Which answers are required and which are optional.
  • What should happen at the end, such as a thank-you message or a redirect.

A weak prompt is "customer survey". A strong one is "Post-purchase survey for an online shop: 1-5 rating of delivery, a checkbox list of what went wrong, a long answer for comments, email optional, thank-you page with a link to our help center."

Check the result before you publish

AI gives you a first draft in seconds. It does not know your business. Before you share the link, do this:

  1. Read every question aloud. Delete anything you will not actually use.
  2. Check question types. A Dropdown for ten options may be better as Multiple choice, and a Short answer for a date should be a Date block.
  3. Add logic where it saves effort, using the conditional logic guide.
  4. Fill the form in yourself on your phone.
  5. Open Customize for colours, fonts and your logo. See customize your form.

Let an assistant build forms for you

Qwenvo has an MCP server for AI assistants. It can list your forms, read a form, list submissions and create a form from a prompt. If you already work inside an AI assistant, you can ask it to draft a form without opening the editor. Details are on the developers page.

How this compares

Tally also has a free AI assistant for building forms, so building is not a reason to switch. The difference comes after the form goes live: Qwenvo can also read the replies with AI triage, while on Tally that needs its MCP server plus an assistant, or Zapier or Make.

Where Qwenvo is weaker: it launched in October 2026, so there are few reviews to read, and there is no Tally or Google Forms importer. Rebuild those forms from a description or a screenshot.

Good first prompts to copy

If you are not sure where to start, these are real use cases with enough detail to get a usable draft. Paste one, then edit.

  • "A job application for a part-time barista: name, email, phone, availability by day, previous experience, and a CV upload."
  • "A bug report form for a mobile app: what happened, steps to reproduce, device, app version and an optional screenshot."
  • "A wedding RSVP with attending yes or no, number of guests, meal choice per guest and a song request."
  • "A short quiz with five multiple choice questions about our onboarding process and a score at the end."

Each of those has a template you can also open directly: job application, bug report, wedding RSVP and quiz knowledge check. Use the template when it fits and the prompt when your case is unusual.

Keep the human in the loop

AI can pick the wrong question type, add a field you did not ask for or phrase a question in a way that does not suit your audience. It cannot know your legal or business needs. Treat the result as a draft that you read, edit and test before real people see it.

Questions people ask

Is there a limit on AI-generated forms?

There is no cap on the number of forms. The fair use policy covers extreme volume of submissions, emails and uploads.

Can AI build a quiz with scoring?

You can describe one, then check the scoring yourself. Quizzes with scoring rely on calculated fields and logic, so test with a sample set of answers before sharing.

Where can I read how Qwenvo uses AI?

On the AI information page. Reading respondents' answers is a separate feature, AI triage, which you switch on per form in Settings.

Next step: try a prompt on a real form you need this week, or start from the contact form template.

Every feature, $0, no card.
